I was just on a 5 hour drive taking panning shots out the window for a good while and none came out this sharp.

i love the bg, looks almost cartoonish. how do you get such a wide angle shot? is it the camera you're using? or is it just cropped.

a little of both. it was shot at 17mm, which is pretty wide. and i also cropped it por a panoramic look.
rolling shots are generally easier then panning shots. im sure you must have gotten some good ones. i should try some rolling shots one day.

no, i was panning, not rolling. i was stationary, standing on the sidewalk.

oh up till now i didnt know the difference, i can see how rolling shots would be easier if you're traveling the same direction, however i was shooting the on-coming cars, might explain my troubles a little.
