A dumb thing I did...

A dumb thing I did back in 1980 while moving to a new house. I was unpacking my photo gear, and not having a secure shelving to put my Nikon 500mm and Konica 200mm I placed them in one of the empty packing boxes. I got so busy unpacking my other things and the wife and kids (ok, me too) generating trash we used the box yes THE BOX as a trash container. A few days later I hauled everything out to curbside for trash pick-up. Bye bye. A month later I needed my 500 and 200 for a Grand Canyon trip with a side to Monument Valley. I am so sorry (today) I ranted at the kids and the wife for touching my photo things. The kids are all grown and gone now having families of their own, the wife still loves me. Why am I so sad?

Well you still have your wife - that's great. She is worth 500 500mm lenses!:hug::

Thank you Chip, Yes I still have her, doesn't work too well on my Nikon F5 but splendid in other things.
