A few really sweet shots

from Gloucester Mass. I have family up there so when ever I go home I try to get some shots of the local architecture. This first shot was taken early in the morning. Because of the strong backlighting (from the bay) I didn't bother editing it as I usually do (curves etc.). This is the John Singer Sargent house on Main street. He was a famous 19th century painter from the area.

This one is from City hall. It dates from 1870 and was built in the style of Independance hall in Philadelphia.

Like any architecture :) and these are great love the clock tower!
 
building are pure d B**** to shoot with a 35mm or digital camera because of the lack of tilt or rise available in the lens. These as good as it gets without the ability to change the perpective.

To compensate you have to choose carefully and compose carefull and these meet that criteria..
