A few storm chasing photos

    I honestly have no idea why the rain came out purple in the first image. It was a 2 second exposure, so perhaps the color of the lightning mixed with the sunlight refracting off the hail or something. I've never seen purple rain before, unless you count Prince songs. ;)

    are any of these HDR? You mentioned long exposure for the first one.

    Wow. Not only am I fascinated by photography but I love the concept of stormchasing too. These are superb shots. Did you find any decent storms?
