Alien Bees?

What do you think of Alien Bees Lights?

I have heard many good things. They interest most people because they are cheaper than most 'pro' lights. Those people are almost always impressed.

I've heard some people say that they are not as durable or consistent as more expensive studio lights though.

The same company that makes Alien Bee lights, also makes White Lightning...which are more 'Pro' level and more expensive.

If money is an issue and you are looking for your first set of new lights...Alien Bee seems to be a very good choice. I'm planning to get some.

I have an AB kit with 2 AB800s and an AB400 and really like them. Comparing them to some of the other low priced lights like the JTLs or SV, there really was no comparison.
