Lichelle Laws, aka Bo$$, from Detroit MI was the first female hip hop act on DefJam's sublabel DefJam West. This album was released in 1993 and from every source I've seen, it just barely missed RIAA Gold. I had the privilege to meet her purely by chance in the spring of '93 just before her album's release.

Sadly, Bo$$ passed away this week on March 11th at 54 years old due to a long standing need for a kidney transplant as well as a stroke that occurred in 2017.

This pic is my copy of her album I bought back in '93.
