Another one of my bird pictures. the only thing i dont like about it is the position in the photo. but C&C please. oh, and u are free to photoshop it and crop, then post it back up here if u want to.

I look at the shot for 30 seconds before I saw the bird......that should tell you something. :er:

Ok, so it doesn't look natural, but there you go.
I think part of the problem with they eye not being drawn to the bird is due to DOF. The other part being the similarity in color between the leaves and the bird. (which a different angle could fix)
I do think, however, that you did a good job getting the bird and bird feeder in focus which isn't easy since they move very quickly (the birds obviously, not the feeders)

The DOF isn't isolating the bird and feeder enough; the bird merges into the OOF leaves.
There isn't enough color or interest to make this wrk for me.

I think it was just the wrong kind of bird. Maybe a cardinal or something brighter will drop by some day....or an eagle. That'd be exciting! Stick some dead mice in that feeder.
