Hey. I must have shot hundreds of frames of globes... various times, various light, various everything.... Im never as happy with them as I am impressed by those done by others. Heres one I deem as something other than a complete failure, yet not one Im thrilled with either... any Ideas?

hi nokonchick, i think i would have chosen a darker background, so the edge of the globe does'nt fade into it. and maybe sharpen up the outline a bit, other than that, nice pic.. :)

I like the color choice for the background, but a somewhat deeper tone might provide a more satisfying result. Being shiney, and a globe, your background (and anything else in the room with light on it) will be reflected somewhere on the subject.

I'm tempted to light this the way the full scale planet is lighted... with one really large light source... maybe bouncing the light off a large, white panel. And I'd want to have a can of dulling spray nearby. Then add the background light, trying different levels.

I hope this helps!
