Well, again I am doing some internet "window" shopping. I have been considering picking up a good prime lens for my Canon Elan 7, and I found this:

I found a couple of reviews on it, and most indicate good sharpness, which is important (though not important enough to buy a Canon L lens......unfortunately thats waaay out of my budget range  ). I want it for landscapes, so I could care less that it is a bit heavier and does not have USM fast/quiet focusing.

So, anyone have experience with this lens. Or can anyone suggest another good lens in the 24-35mm range, with reasonably good sharpness, and within the $350 range?

ken rockwell gave the tokina 11-24mm a good review, he said canons was best, then nikons, then tokina, then tamron, then sigma.

this is for the dx sensor format, i don't know what the elan 7 is, but if its film then ignore my post.
