Derrel you are right size wise it's much smaller, but it's not the same aspect ratio, so comparing them side by side size wise to APS-C or FX is not a fair comparison.
When you actually look at the 4/3rds sensor dimensions wise the height is not much less than APS-C. Most of the extra area is lost on the edge. Thus the difference between FX and DX are far greater than the difference between DX and 4/3rds.
