Are flip locks (vs wingnuts) really worth my $30??

I'm looking at two tripods, the 3001BN and the 3001BD. The main difference b/w the two I see is the flip locks vs wing nuts. Is it that much more convenient? Enough to warrant $30 extra? I know I'm already spending a lot of money but I'm still trying to be economical with my quality equipment

Edit: And I really apologize for putting up yet another tripod thread, I just couldn't find a specific enough answer for my question.

I love flip locks but thats a personal opinion... Is it worth the extra $30 to you or will the wing nuts be good enough for you?

I think you are referring to the locks that hold the leg sections? If so, then the ones that flip are faster, easier and weaker. The ones you screw down are the opposite.
