Headed out to the garden this morning and I see this orange/red ball on top of the grape arbor at the level of the garage roof. What the....! As I get closer of course, it's a tomato. One of my tomatoes! Bleepin' varmint hauled it up there so it could snack on it undisturbed. You can see the teeth marks in the tomato. I swear one of these days....

Birds will do that as well. Reason I no longer grow beefsteak tomatoes, and stay with cherry, it seems they are attacked less by the birds.

The raccoons have been eating on our tomatoes a lot this year. That's why we plant so many. They get some and so do we.

Yep, we're harvesting more than we can use -- I'm putting up a lot fermented right now. It's just this one was kind of mocking me.

I had a box turtle go through my tomatoes once and took a bite out of every ripe one within its reach. I feel your pain.

Oh, I know that pain!
Deer are our worst culprits in our garden. They take one bite...
They also "top" the plants.
