Broken Camera?

Hi there,

I have a Canon PowerShot A85 and all of a sudden it the pictures it was taking came out very over exposed with a pink tint to them (see http://www.geocities.com/noonap/techie.html). Does anyone have any idea why this is?

Is it fixable?

Hello and welcome!

Ummm, sorry, that doesn't look over exposed to me, I think that your sensor is on the fritz. Looks like it isn't registering all of the colors.

Call tech support and point them to your pics. If it's really dead, find out what a rebuild would be.

i agree, maybe it is overexposed, but what you see here is something worse... must involve the sensor or camera electronics.

Yeah looks like you got problem. How long have you had it? mabye you have a warranty issue.

The camera is out of warranty but I'll contact Canon and see what they say.
