Agreed. The first pic is disorientating almost- makes the viewer try and figure out what angle is what instead of thinking about the content of the picture.
The second picture is good, but you should have cropped it with only the picket fence- either by foot, lens, or pshop.
I sort of think the awkward angles fit well with the mood of the pictures. It doesn't both me too much...would maybe like to see a bit more contrast though, not too much, but a speckle more
The second's okay, but not more. The photo's pointless - there's no subject and no point of interest. The fence is an unusual graphic element, but that does not a photo make.
Add someone walking up to the house, and you might have something.
Hate to follow the masses but when they are correct what else can you do? I don't like the angle personally I don't like any photo with an angle (you know what I mean). The second is boreing with nothing to keep my interest. I think this is one of those cases where you have to be there to enjoy the subject.
