I know this photo is a little underexposed but I kinda liked the result. What I am really curious about is where is it "too soft"? I wanted the numbers on the locomotive focused. I know the logo on the front is somewhat out of focus. What do you folks see and how could I improve the photo. It was a failry cloudy day so lighting wasn't too good. Taken with a D90 and I wasn't brave enough to get close enough for flash to be effextive.

You don't want your photos edited so I can't show you, but the contrast is too low.
You should have been able to get the entire front of the engine and cab in focus with a larger number f stop.
