Hey

Im looking at investing in a battery grip for my Canon EOS 1000d (rebel)

Are there any real reasons to pay £100+ for a canon version, when similar products are going for £40-£50 on eBay?

Anybody know of any cheaper alternatives that are worth looking at? (For UK)

Cheers!
Nic

I made the mistake in buying a non genuine grip for one of my old Canon 400D.
The more I used it the worse it got with the fit, in the end, the plastic on the grip cracked, so I ended up buying the Canon grip...shoulda saved the money in the first place and just by the genuine article!

Couldn't agree more... That would be my choice

I got a Zeikos for my Nikon that's been trouble-free and functions very well.

I have the same for my D90. You can tell it's not genuine Nikon, but it still feels good. When you have a cheap budget, sometimes you have to sacrafice..... :blushing:
