It is a little bit of both, I couldn't get quit as close as I wanted to with my 200mm so I used a bit of a crop to get the rest of the way. These are lights on the stacks of a thermal electric plant being obsured by steam from a pulp mill that is next to the refinery I was shooting last night.

They kept disapearing and then reapearing one at a time over the period of several minutes. It remined me of something from a sci-fi movie.
