Critique Wanted

Newbie here, I took this photo in color and tried to convert it to black & white. My impression is that its too grey. I'd love your feedback and/or suggestions.

Not too grey for my liking.
Pretty baby portrait and now look at all that neatly brushed HAIR!
Considering the possibility of cropping this vertical would more be "my" option if this were mine - conversion was done well, I say.

Yeah I think it might look better as a vertical. The only other suggestion would to maybe lighten his eyes. Awesome pic though. What does the color look like? I'd imagine that one looks just as nice. Well done. :thumbup:
