Daytime moon

When I got home from work yesterday morning I saw the moon was still up. I tried a couple nights ago with not so good results so I decided to try it again. Its a bit grainy but I took the with a 300mm so I cropped it to get a closer look at it. Also a few other touch up real quick, spent maybe a couple of minutes on it.

If you look at this one done by Orgoni1 you can notice that large crater at the bottom is on the oppisite side.

Hmmm, both pictures are very nice. But I don't get the colour difference between the two. Is it just because they are shot at different times at night? That doesn't seem to make sense. And I would assume the exposure settings to be around the same.

I suspect the one with the blue background was shot during the day.

If you'll notice, he says that the bottom picture was taken by another user.
