DOF C&C please

Ok, still working with the DOF stuff!!!
Not a very good subject, and used my chroma key for the background simply for convenience.....but what i really want C&C on is the DOF.
Only post editing was lowering the brightness on the highlights as they were blown.
(the shadowy blur above the handle and last cup was not there before i cropped and re-saved)

Sorry about the green!
Basically i was trying to get the front sharp, then more blur as it goes back...
To me it looks like i achieved my goal..but wanted to know what others thought as far as sharpness in the front and the amount of blur going back...
Does that make sense?

If that was your goal, then yes, you accomplished it.

maybe if the wicker handle of the teapot was more towards the vertical, with a narrower aperture; this could reinforce the distinction between the foreground and the cups which are further back.

The edited photo is MUCH better.

The DOF to me doesnt really work in this photo, I kinda feel that everything should be in focus, at least on this one shot.
