Is there any way to export the history in photoshop? So I can paste it as text into emssages etc?
Oh Pete, Thank you so much for making me go and find out how to do this. It's awesome once it works! It's gonna make tutorials so much easier.
Ok, go Edit ->Preferences -> General
Check the box next to History Log
Then select if you want to save it as Metadata, TXT or both. The choose where you want the text file to be saved.
Then choose how much data you want to be recorded.
If you select Detailed - you could write a tutorial from it, it's that detailed!! Yippee!! :cheer:
Only problem is that I think if you choose text, it saves the history for ever photo you edit in the same place. You have to go back in each time and change the location before you start editing which is a bit of a pain. I haven't used the metadata option yet so dunno if there are any problems to that one.
That's what another site said last night, but I've not got that box. I use Photoshop 7.
I'm pretty sure the ability to export history was only added in CS. I read that on a couple of sites while I was trying to figure out how to do it. So sorry,, but you'll just have to upgrade.
