Your lens only focuses at 45cm at 28mm? That seems odd to me. I would have expected it to be half that. I'll have to check my lenses.

My Zuiko 28mm prime goes much closer than that, but my (Tokina?) 28-70 zoom has a minimum focussing distance of 45cm regardless of focal-length
