Filter systems....Cokin or something else?

Do other companies make filters that fit the Cokin P thingy-ma-jiggy. Or is there another/better option to something like that?

I guess Cokin filters are plastic, so maybe not the best available, but I am mainly interested in the holder since it seems it would be versatile. Threaded seems ok, but I would really like to use a GND so I think I need something like that holder.

Loads of company do square type filter
Low budget-Tianya(From Hongkong,for around 7 USD you can get a square type filter)
Mid-range-Cokin P series

High-end-Sing Ray and Lee filters(these cost a bomb 100++for a filter)
It's your choice,I use Tianya ND and GND,I'm thinking of ditching the GND for a Cokin GND8 because the Tianya one would sometimes give me purple sky out of blue skies.The ND works fine
