Flag Photo - Your input please

I am relatively new here and am just getting my feet wet. I was wondering if you could look at my photo and let me know what you think. I have entered this one in a few amature contests and it has not done well at all. I have entered a number of other shots as well that have done very well (between first and sixth place out of hundreds quite a few times). The contests are all amature stuff and the voting is done by members of the website (can I post websites here?). I just kind of feel that this photo should have done better than it did. I would love to hear what you all think though. Thanks!

i like the tones and your DOF is dead on. the fold in the flag was just right. the barn in the background works well for this patriotic image

the metal plate or something at the bottom is a little distracting.

Thanks Jon. That metal plate is actually a mailbox that the flag was attached to. Yeah I agree that is a downfall of this photo. Thanks for looking at it for me!
