Been a busy season for me this year. I've shot 35+ sports games since mid-August. Here is a few from yesterday with a new to me 400mm f/2.8 IS.

A HighSchool varsity and junior varsity games that were a day before and a couple of days after the college game. Again, all images shot with the Canon 1dx and the EF 400mm f/2.8 L IS USM. She's a beast to carry at 11.6 lbs but the images make it worth it.

Yes, our senior night is tomorrow as well. We win and we should get a home playoff game so there is that. 2 more regular season games as of right now.

I hope it recovers quickly.
You take things for granted, until you loose it and can't do something.

I plan to help the student shoot the senior presentation, and that's it.
The kids have to shoot the game themselves.

We LOST our senior game

We won senior big but it rained the entire night. Photos to come.

oh bummer. The rain probably cancelled the senior presentation.

I will shoot in a light rain, but NOT anything heavier.

Reminds me of something I heard on the radio when I was in high school.
The announcer said " . . . and the referee picks up the muddy ball, wipes it with his muddy towel, and puts it back into the mud."

Here are a few from Friday night Senior night. Home team won 56 - 17, it rained all night and as soon as the buzzer went off, I went home. I only shot with one lens and body (1Dx and the 400mm) and had a rain cover on it all night. I don't know if they did the senior stuff after the game.

1) Opening kick-off for a touchdown. (I was lucky, I had a feeling that I should stay on the opposite end).

2) focused.

3) Extra point.

4) catch and run.

5) Passing in the rain.

And then the next afternoon, was much better.

1) Much better day to throw the ball.

2) Was making an effort to get some good images of the O-Line blocking.

3) The other teams O-Line blocking

4) I like the extension of the kickers on field goals and extra points.

5) High pointing this one. May have cost some yards after catch but he got the completion.
