I took 15,000 images in the summer of 2014 – and almost 10,000 of the images were of this fox family in Waterton. It perfectly encapsulates a sequence that can only be described as pure joy. And it demonstrates the importance of play to wild animals in learning critical survival skills – or, in this case, the importance of play to settle a score between siblings, one of whom refused to let the other sleep.
