I was kind of going for the contrasty(oversaturated:blushing, artsy kind of surreal look in the second one. Does anyone think that it works for the photo or would you rather see the original or closer to?

Always looking for wise words around here to make me improve my work!

I like them and agree i love the angle on the first.

Imo i would crop your 2nd a little tighter.

But all in all they are well done.

Charming little girl and the eyes are wonderfully sharp and in focus in the first. I like the second one as well but not as much as the first. It reminds me of a birthday card I saw today.

#2 bothers me, in that there isn't anything really in focus, and my eyes keep trying to find something that is. Plus, that circle on his pants bothers me. Next time, try it with great focus on those cute little toes.

#1 is simply gorgeous!

Wildmaven...the original is actually quite in focus but I really softened the entire shot alot. i have not figured out how to selectively soften yet!:blushing: Thanks for pointing out the snap on the jeans...I'm off to work on that!
