Hello from So Cali

Hey everyone. Stumbled upon this forum today so I thought I'd introduce myself.

Ive owned my Canon Rebel XT for a few months now and have been playing around with shooting whatever I can, whenever I can. Today I purchased a Canon 70-300mm IS USM telephoto lens for my camera. I wanted that because I like to go to hockey games and this will give me a better zoom.

Anyway, I haven't really had any experience or training in photography other than what Ive read in my owners manual. I think I'm learning, but I really dont care if I'm doing it "right" because I'm having fun doing it.

Just wanted to introduce myself. Ill see if I can upload some of my photos I've taken later.

Welcome to the forum. I think that after the initial thrill is gone, you'll enjoy it more if you learn some basics. Let me suggest "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson.

Thanks for the welcome. I will definitely read as much as I can here to learn more. Ive been trying to work with my exposure and aperture more and I think Im getting better. Here are a couple shots that I thought turned out decent.
