Help me get the effect I want :(

So, yesterday the moon was very nice and sexy, lots of clouds around it.
I wanted to shoot the moon and did so, but my results were VERY disapointing.

Here are the 2 shots I got

the effect I want is to get the details of the second shot with the clouds of the second. I tried all freaking shutter speed from 1.3 to 1/100.
Used F/5.6 and F/8 and all ISO 400.

Need HELP !!!!!!!!!

It will be almost impossible without shooting two shots and somehow combining them together. That is because first of all our eyes see 8 stops of light at once (dont take my word for it) and the camera sees something around 5 stops. Since t he moon is very bright and the clouds are dark in comparison to the moon you will not get both in one shot. The only way to get that is to get a camera with a much higher dynamic range.
p.s. If you only want to shoot the moon try shooting at 1/250th and f/8 at ISO 100.

So semi like a HDR picture. So what you want to do is take the two pictures that you took, and merge them as one. Semi like this

Probably not perfect, but something like this.
