Lookin for a macro lens...
I have a canon eos 30d and Ive been wanting a new lens for a while. Been shooting my 28-135 since January. I have always loved macro shots with shallow DOF's.
So if someone could point me in the right direction for around 2-300 bucks I'd appreciate it=]

I just bought for my Canon the Sigma 50mm F2.8 Macro and I really like it. It is razor sharp and the image quality as well as build and construction is awesome. The only thing is that it will hunt a little in lower light macro situations....My understanding is that all Macros do that and usually its best to manually focus in those situations. I paid just around $300 or a little less for it.

The only thing I dont like about it is that you cannot use the hood that comes with the lens and the lens cap at the same time....annoying.

look into the Sigma 70mm, 105mm and 150mm. Also check out the Tamron 90mm.

I personally own the Sigma 150mm and love it, I like taking pictures of insects and animals, and the extra focal length really comes in handy.
