Hi there, I've owned a DSLR for about a year and a half and I've loved it. I own an Olympus E-300 and I've gone so far with it. I've learned how to make effects with shutter speed and aperture, but that's about it. Is there anything else I can do besides photoshop, shutter speed, and aperture that could give effects to my photos? :D

Specifically, I would suggest looking at off camera lighting. That alone will occupy you for YEARS.

Take it out, get it drunk. Bring it back home and play with it a bit.

Really you just need to understand how lighting works to make your pictures pop.

Attach it to a kite and trigger the shutter using a remote.
