This type 42 destroyer is visiting London and is open to the public for the next week at the London boat show.

As someone who lives just about as far from the sea as you can get so I don't many chances to shoot military ships.

Your first shot is crazy. It doesnt look like a real ship to me, it looks like a toy. But I like it.

I like #1...but you need to clean up the edges around the ship from when you selected it to blur everything else. A technique i use is feathering everything by 1px after I make my selection. Granted...this probably isn't the easiest selection to make.

Is it just me, or is the depth of field of the ship different from the depth of field of the water in the first one?

Thanks for the feedback, I have to agree the photo does need some work mainly in the bottom right of the image.

Yes CS3 has been used to unfocus the background, i think i went a little far.

Still love the shot.

ohhhh sweet!! No.1 is so cool. Remember that thread on making shots look like they are models?? This is great! Its of course PS and edits etc.. but what an effect!
