How do you define success?

Pretty vague question, but I'm curious what you all define as success.

Achievement of a defined goal.

Success for me is:
- to learn how to listen your instinct when making choices
- to be happy for small things that are happening around you
- to learn how to smile from the bottom of your heart
- to appreciate important things and by important things I don't think anything material
- to be modest
- to understand your place under the sun
- to be satisfied because you're you and no one else is like you
- to find a way to do what you love to do and got payed for that
- to realize that there are no excuses, just the choices you make

Succeeding at life has a lot to do with happiness for me... balancing out all the craziness and keeping things in perspective.

I don't. There are things I would like to do, but they are not amenable to a strict definition, and in any event, I'll always be striving in these directions, so there is never a point where it would make sense to declare success or failure.

Money can buy happiness. You must just know how to spend it correctly.

I'm more concerned with mastery, and not success. For me it's about self drive, and not the approval of others.
