How to Improve Horse Eye Detection settings for R5

Good Day! It is my understanding that Canon's animal eye detection mode is not optimally programed for horses. I have witnessed this first hand. It performs great with birds, cats and dogs but point it at a horse and you are lucky if it grabs the eye verses the ear verses the hoof...etc. So, I'm wondering if anyone has discovered some program tweaks within the camera's menu that improves the R5's ability to track a horse's eye? As a side note, I have installed OS 1.9 in the camera and am using the Canon 500mm f2.8 IS USM II lens. Look forward to your suggestions...
