How to lose the .jpg in Photoshop Contact Sheet?

Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way I can lose the .jpg after an image just for the contact sheet? I do my contact sheets online and could do without the extension. Please see http://www.headshotslondon.co.uk/hairhelp.html as an example. Thanks for any and all help!

I think when you do the merge you can change some naming options in the Contact Sheet II dialog that comes up. I usually just leave the appendix on there because I shoot in noth RAW and jpeg, so it can be handy.

Thanks, the only option is use filename as caption or not, though. No way to slice off the .jpg
