We all know those occasions when we wish we had our camera with us to capture some magnificant scene or moment that we just happen to come accross. We all also know that lugging around an slr with lenses all the time is just not practical.

I have been thinking about buying a decent bridge camera that Iwould carry at all times for exactly these moments. It would not be as good as an SLR obviously but it certainly beats nothing at all.

Has anybody any suggestions as to what would be a good bridge camera that allows a full control ?

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

There is a difference between a Bridge camera and a Pocket Digicam. The G10 falls under the latter.
