When I'm not working for my normal clients, it's fun distracting myself with friends and seeing how far I can push the iphone's possiblilty.
Here's a new portrait I shot in an office of a friend. For the central light I used the bright florscent lights from above that normally would be pretty ugly, but I had him look right into the lights while I got low. Then I had another friend hold a tall standing lamp behind his head around the height of his shoulders, but was careful not to get it in the frame. This way I got some rim light that gave him some highlights. I did the color editing on the phone with the Snapseed app.
Got any iphone portraits you've worked on? I'd love to see some other tricks people have found.
