Is this any good?

Specifically my use of natural light. I'm not sure how to retrieve my settings, maybe someone can help me. Taken with my D70, manual mode, approx f/4, ?shutter speed, ISO 200, ? focal length.

You aren't paying attention to where light is falling. Nevermind that his legs and the chair cushion are well exposed...they aren't the focal point of the image.

Thanks for responding. OK, I see what you are saying. You are meaning that his face is dark and his legs and chair cushion are nicely illuminated?

Yep. I would have moved him more into the light, or used fill flash to illuminate the darker side.

OK. Thank you very much! I was trying out a lens I found on an old N50 of mine (had been stored in a closet for YEARS!) and my 5 year old wasn't being a very cooperative subject. I was lucky to get this! Again, thank you for your critique.
