C&C per req:

1. I'm afraid I don't 'get' anything from this image. Partly because it seems unbalanced; you have open sky on the right and leaves on the left. I think if the sky were less washed out and the distribution of leaves and branches more even, it would be a stronger image.

2. I think this one has potential. I see it as more tightly cropped on the tree trunks, and done in a mono conversion.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.
