Yes, Nikon names their macro lenses micro. As for the lenses I've heard that both are good. The only real difference I can see is that the 105mm allows you to work farther away from the subject, which is nice if you are taking pictures of insects or other things you don't want to disturb. The problem is that it'll does cost more so you should decided if it's worth the money.
