The focus seems to be just a tick off in #1 and #3 whereas its spot on in #2. Love the pose on the albatross and the catch on the tern. The penguin is a neat pose as well but I'm not too keen on the background color..but at the same time, not sure which way it should go.

Thanks Ceeboy, much as it's the poor workman that blames his tools I'm hoping for better things as far as focus (and other parameters) go now that I'm at long last upgrading from P&S to DSLR.
My D7000 body arrived today :-D
sadly though the lenses have only just been posted :-(

I think they are fantastic, I love your choice of crops in the first 2. I'm a big fan of tight crops and different perspectives. Looking forward to some images from the D7000! Congrats
