local camera clubs

I live in the Bexleyheath area. Looking for a local camera club or photo society.. I used to belong to the Woolwich photographic society and would not mind re joining but cant get in touch with them.. ne response to emails..
anything between greenwich and dartford might be handy ???

Hi Chris, was wondering how you got on trying to find out about local camera clubs? I'd be very interested to join if you found one? If not, we could always start our own, I know of another person who would be interested.

Clubs can be a royal pain in the a$$ yes dollar signs used because some require you to pay a fee. I started a club at uni with about 5 members and we take some monthly trips.

One other thing you can do is search flickr for local guys who formed group. -spam- on this forum linked me to the brisbane_meetup group which is basically a club in my area and I've been going out with various guys from there too.
