Looking for a upgrade

i am 16 years old and very interested in photography. I have a canon S3 IS powershot now but i am looking for something better i have no problem spending 500-600 on a new camera. thanks for the advice

That's not going to get you very far..

Why do you want something different than the s3? Are you feeling limited by what you can and cant do with it? If so then I would suggest upgrading. I think that you should hold on to the s3 learn everything you can about the camera and photography in general and then once you start feeling like it's holding you back then you can upgrade and by that time you'll have more money saved up and you can pick something you feel comfortable with.
