The 3rd shot looks about 1.5 stops overexposed to me at least. What exactly have you got there? Is that a floor lamp that you've modified to accept an umbrella? May try to diffuse it a bit if it's not adjustable. By the way, it looks like your camera also has a couple of stuck pixels. You can see both in the last shot. A blue on on your shoulder and a red one about 1/2" higher on the x axis about an inch from the right edge.

it only seems to do that when I resize something in Paint.

take a bunch of shots at all different apertures and put them in a program where you can scroll through the pictures to see if the spots move. If they dont move around you have stuck pixels or something wrong with the sensor.

I had a green spot like the one on your shoulder on my pentax *ist DL near the center, and every shot had it. sent the camera to pentax, they replaced the sensor.
