Hallo Diviniti, welcome to ThePhotoForum.

Both photos are nice, but both photos also "suffer" from total centredness.

In the first, the sun, its reflection, the boat and its shadow "cut" the photo in two halves, one on the right one on the left ... it would have been more compelling had you composed it so the boat --- passing through that light (well done!) --- would have more room to still go into than room where it came from.

And the mountains (their tops) also divide the second photo into a bottom and a top half, and here it would have been wiser to decide what it is you meant to show (more): the vastness of the sky above this wonderful scene or more of the scenes on the bank of the lake and the water as such? (It was too dark really for the second approach, I think). So if it was the sky that fascinated you as the big dome above this lovely countryside, you had better moved your camera up a little more to get less water into your frame, and more sky, and the horizon would thus have moved to the lower third of the photo. It does make pictures (any kind of!) nicer to look at.
