my first super long exposure

you might try google , as there is a technique called stacking. taking several exposures and then blending them together. this means the exposures are not so long. haven't tried this technique but have thought about it and that is why i know i can be done with the proper exposures and software.

Also try taking pics under the moon. From what I've noticed, a full moon can actually be too bright. But if you do it right, the results can be amazing. Here's on example from my uncle, Kurt Wilson, of Scenery South. This was takin under just over a half moon with about a 45 minute exposure.
