#5 I am thinking of making the color portion b&w to match the digital backdrop better... what do you think?

Harsh mid-day sunlight makes for brutal light conditions. Try for earlier or later in the day, and look onto using either a flash or reflector to help fill in the dark areas.

A lot of these look pretty soft. As far as the B&W conversion of #5, I say go for it. Right now the background is competing for attention, and drawing away the attention from the girls.
