I want to get a ND for my camera. The Panasonic website shows two types. One specifically says that it needs a lens adapter, the other doesn't, but doesn't either say specifically that it doesn't. It just doesn't indicate one is required. I don't have enough confidence in that... My manual says if I want to use filters I need to get the adapter.
    Here are the two products:
The first; notice beneath the product photo it lists the models and there is no mention of the lens adapter for the FZ7:

Now the second and notice it specifically states that it requires the adapter in the models beneath the product photo.

I found the 52 for 29 bucks, (including S&H) and I would buy it if I was 100 per cent sure that I didn't need the adapter. Anyone have a definitive answer to this? The reseller I contacted does not know the answer.

I believe the 52 should attach directly to ur lens, the adapter would be 52-55, allowing use of the 55, but it seems like u just wanted confirmation, so, I'm like 99% sure, if u want to investigate further I would suggest the Panasonic area on DPReview. :sillysmi:
