I don't shoot Nikon anymore, but have been hesitant to sell this lens until I was sure I wasn't coming back to the Nikon camp. I'm still not sure, but I'm starting to save for the new Pentax body, so it has to go.

Nikon ED Nikkor AF 180mm f/2.8 telephoto/portrait lens. This is not the newest version with the crinkle finish. It is the less desirable, but optically identical, older smooth version. I've seen the MF version go for a range of prices from 200-500 and the newer crinkle versions go for 400-850, so I figure $340 shipped in the U.S. would be a good deal for this copy. I honestly can not find a blemish on the darn thing. The exposed aperture blades are CLEAN CLEAN, and the glass looks EX+. I'm new to this forum, but I post and sell on pentaxforums.com under this same 'handle'. Please feel free to shoot me an offer if I've overestimated this len's worth, but I'm still confident its one of the three sharpest Nikkor lenses ever made.

I've included a couple reviews here:

    Cheers,
    Matt

Edit: I may be interested in Pentax gear or Alien Bees flash units for a trade. Just throwing that out there. M
