Noobie from UK

Hello All
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am a noobie but very keen to learn - have done a LOT of reading so time to get the all inportant experience and take loads of photos!!

My Mum passed away last month and as something I would always remember her by, I decided that from some of my inheritance I would start my photography journey as a tribute to her. She used to take some great photos so I know she will be happy for me!!

I am going shopping next week and have made a list of what my initial set up will be:
Canon EOS 40D
Prime lens EF 85/1.8
EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS USM
EF 70-200mm 2.8 L USM
Canon 430EX
UV and polarising filters


Still looking at which tripod and bag to use - will continue to search the forums and see what most people reccomend
